About the artist
Hannah Crouch is a self-taught watercolor artist who resides in Newcastle, Australia. Her passion for art began in her childhood when her grandmother introduced her to painting and encouraged her creative interests. Growing up, Hannah’s focus shifted to dance, sports, and athletics, but she rekindled her love for art during her last years of school. Art became her escape from the physical exertion of dance, and she enjoyed the slow pace it brought back to her life.
For her year 12 major project, Hannah drew inspiration from her Japanese heritage and created a collection of postcards featuring highly detailed pen work of Japanese-style illustrations, along with a watercolor scroll and 700 folded mini origami cranes. Her grandmother gifted her a professional watercolor set to assist with the project.

A Proof of Provenance is an official document that establishes the genuine nature of an artwork. Issued by a credible authority, this may be signed directly by the creator, the gallery representing the creator, or the specialist who collaborated with the artist. In cases of traded artworks, authenticated bodies or designated foundations may issue such certifications.
These documents are comprehensive, usually detailing the artist’s name, specifics of the artwork (including title, creation date, materials used, size), and ideally, an image of the art piece itself.
