Once you are approved and verified, selling on ArtRewards follows a clear, consistent process. This page walks you through each stage, from the moment your dashboard is activated to the point your payment is released. Understanding how the flow works will help you list, sell, and fulfil with confidence.
1. Your Dashboard Is Activated
After your profile is set up and identity verification is complete, your artist dashboard becomes active. This is where you manage every aspect of your presence on the platform.
Each newly approved artist begins on Basic Access by default, at no cost. From within your dashboard, you can review the full range of available access options and decide whether to upgrade at your own pace. There is no obligation to do so, and no minimum commitment is required.
2. Upload Your Work
With your dashboard active, you can begin uploading your artworks. On Basic Access, you may upload up to 10 works each month, allowing you to build and refresh your portfolio steadily over time.
For each piece, you provide the details that help collectors understand and appreciate the work, including:
- The title, medium, and dimensions
- The year the work was created
- A clear, high-quality image of the piece
- The price and current availability
Accurate, well-presented listings give your work the strongest possible footing on the platform. For full guidance on presentation and data standards, see Pricing and Listing Standards.
3. Manage Your Listings
You retain complete control over your portfolio at all times. Through your dashboard, you can:
- Adjust prices and update availability
- Edit artwork details as needed
- Personalize your profile, including your biography and images
- Track view counts and engagement in the "My Artwork" section
Real-time analytics give you a clear picture of how your work is performing, so you can make informed decisions about what to list and when.
4. Buyers Browse and Purchase
Once your work is live, collectors can discover it on the marketplace. From there, a buyer may either purchase a piece directly or submit an offer for your consideration.
ArtRewards manages the buyer-facing side of each transaction, including inquiries and purchase support, so you can focus on your practice and your work.
5. You Are Notified
ArtRewards keeps you informed at every meaningful stage. You will receive notification of all serious inquiries, offers, disputes, and return requests within 24 hours.
This ensures you always have timely visibility into activity around your portfolio and can respond to offers or questions without delay.
6. Ship the Work
When a sale is confirmed, the next step is fulfilment. You are responsible for packaging each work professionally and coordinating shipment with a signature-required courier.
You may offer free shipping and absorb the cost yourself, or set a flat shipping rate for local and international deliveries. Any applicable shipping charge is added to the final price at checkout and paid by the buyer. For complete packaging standards, timelines, and guidance on risk of loss, see Shipping Responsibilities.
7. Receive Your Payment
Payment follows successful delivery and the buyer's confirmation that the artwork has arrived in satisfactory condition and matches the listing details. Once that confirmation is received, your payment is processed, with the commission deducted, and issued within 24 hours.
Full details on payout timing, payment methods, taxes, and how refunds or chargebacks are handled are covered in Artist Payments and Payouts.
If a Buyer Requests a Return
Occasionally, a buyer may initiate a return within the permitted return window. When this happens, you will be notified, and a clear process applies. The grounds for returns, the evidence required, and the question of who bears return shipping costs are all explained in Returns and Buyer Disputes.
