My name is Stephen Aifegha, and I was born in Lagos State, which is located in the western part of Nigeria. Lagos is often referred to as the “New York of Nigeria” due to its metropolitan structure and daily hustle and bustle. As an African, my artistic practice is heavily influenced by my identity and culture. Though I was born and raised in Nigeria, I prefer to identify myself more broadly as African rather than strictly as “Nigerian.” <\/p>\n
I am a professional visual and creative artist with expertise in both art and design. Specifically, I am a contemporary African painter who currently lives and works in the United States.
